Meets requirements

ODU has determined that completion of the following programs meets educational requirements to apply for a license or endorsement in this state.

Counseling - LPC or Substance Abuse

  • Addiction Prevention and Treatment (Undergraduate) (Cert)

    This certificate prepares you for the post-graduation residency phase for Virginia CSAC or CSAC-A credentialing. It may fulfill the educational hours required to take the National Certified Addiction Counselor Level I (NCAC-I) exam as set by the Virginia Board of Counseling.

  • Counseling - Clinical Mental Health (MSEd)
  • Human Services (BS)

    This degree is approved by the Virginia Board of Counseling and the Virginia Certification Board as a provider of addiction education leading to Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) and Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification. After graduation from ODU, you will be required to complete the residency requirement and take the exam set by the Virginia Board of Psychology.

  • Medical Laboratory Science (BSMLS)

    As far as ODU has been able to determine, this state accepts ASCP Board of Certification credentials and does not have any additional requirements.
