Technology teachers engage students with hands-on classroom activities that expose them to engineering, architecture, technology and applied sciences.
In this program, you will gain content knowledge, teaching skills and strategies, and learn to incorporate design and technology in school settings. Your course work will include field experiences, which will help you apply these skills in secondary (grades 6-12) classroom and laboratory settings.
You will learn from faculty who have direct and current school-based experience, and be supported with career mentoring from former school professionals.
When you graduate, you will earn a Bachelor of Science degree in career and technical education with a major in technology education. You also will be eligible for Virginia teacher licensure.
