Why ODU for RN to BSN?

At ODUGlobal, nursing education is built around flexibility, quality and respect for your experience. Our online RN to BSN program helps you move forward in your career without putting your life on hold.

This fully accredited program is taught by full-time ODU nursing faculty, most of whom also practice as nurses in local hospitals. It is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), which ensures the education you receive meets high national standards and is recognized by employers and graduate programs.

Even in an asynchronous online format, your learning experience stays personal. You can connect with faculty and student success directors by Zoom, phone or text when you need support, or in person if you’re near Hampton Roads.

As a licensed RN, you will automatically receive 33 of the 66 required nursing credits as experiential learning credits based on your licensure. These credits are awarded at no cost to you. You can also take advantage of our free transfer credit evaluation, including CLEP exams.

Courses in this program are graded with letter grades, not pass or fail, which positions you for continued education if you choose to pursue a master’s degree in nursing or a graduate certificate as a nurse educator
