ODU's online nurse educator certificate program allows you to earn academic credit while gaining knowledge and practical experience in teaching entry-level or graduate nursing education programs.

When you graduate, you will earn a nurse educator graduate certificate. This is an academic certificate, not a professional certification.

      • Instructional Delivery Methods & Learner Assessment
      • Nursing Curricular Design and Program Evaluation
      • Educator Internship: Classroom Instruction
  • Access your nurse educator certificate course materials online from any location. Some courses will occasionally have live online meeting times, while others will not. The instructor may schedule assignments and exams at specific times.

    To the extent possible, the teaching practicum is arranged with a school of nursing in your community. All courses in the nurse educator certificate program follow Old Dominion University's regular academic calendar.
