Why ODU for Medical & Health Professions Education?

Educating the next generation of healthcare professionals requires innovation, empathy, and evidence-based teaching. ODU’s online Master of Medical & Health Professions Education (M.M.H.P.E.) equips current and future educators to lead in curriculum design, teaching, and research across a range of health disciplines.

In this program, you will collaborate with faculty on research focused on:

  • AI and technology in anatomy education
  • Student and educator well-being, burnout, and resilience
  • Microlearning and instructional design strategies
  • Learner mindsets and challenge engagement
  • Structured debriefing in clinical assessment

In as little as two years, you will be prepared to teach in health professions programs, lead curriculum development, and contribute to educational research in academic medicine with your M.M.H.P.E. from a respected R1 research institution.
