Turn complex health data into clear decisions. ODU’s online AI in Healthcare graduate certificate builds a foundation in artificial intelligence and healthcare informatics so you can make informed recommendations about using healthcare data to support better delivery and evaluation of patient care.
You’ll study AI methods and models, AI ethics and policy, trustworthy health analytics, and AI applications in healthcare. The certificate includes four graduate courses plus a practicum for a total of 12 credit hours, and you can finish in 1-2 years.
Experiential learning is built in. During the practicum, you’ll apply what you learn in a focused area and produce a paper or e-portfolio. The practicum may be an internship, a work-based project or a paper on a relevant topic. When you complete the certificate, you’ll be ready to bring practical AI insight to healthcare settings.
The program is led by a prestigious, cross-campus team including Artificial Intelligence (AI) Teaching Fellows to shape rigorous, ethically grounded AI education.
