Why ODU for Clinical Embryology?

Supporting patients through assisted reproductive technology requires deep clinical knowledge and precision in the IVF laboratory. ODU’s Clinical Embryology Certificate provides medical and health professionals with the essential training to assess gametes and embryos and strengthen their competence in embryology labs.

In this program, you will:

  • Learn best practices for IVF lab procedures and embryo assessment
  • Gain hands-on exposure to technologies used in gamete and embryo evaluation
  • Build clinical understanding of human reproductive biology and ART protocols
  • Strengthen your preparation for further study or clinical roles in reproductive medicine

This certificate is ideal for professionals looking to advance in embryology, andrology, or clinical ART settings and serves as a stepping stone for students planning to enter the Reproductive Clinical Science – Embryology & Andrology (M.S.) program.

When you complete this certificate, you will be prepared to contribute meaningfully in IVF laboratories and support clinical care teams in the delivery of reproductive healthcare.
