Why ODU for Clinical Andrology?

Understanding male reproductive health is essential to the success of assisted reproductive technologies. ODU’s Clinical Andrology Certificate prepares medical and health professionals with the laboratory skills and foundational knowledge needed to work in andrology and reproductive health settings.

Bridge to the Master’s Program

The Clinical Andrology Certificate provides a streamlined path to the Reproductive Clinical Science – Embryology & Andrology (M.S.) program.

Students who earn a grade of B or higher in each course may apply those credits toward the master’s degree, where they will be reflected on the transcript and included in the cumulative GPA if admitted. This option supports continued advancement in reproductive clinical science.

Ready to Apply?

Applicants must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Two semesters each of college-level Biology and Chemistry with lab

Applicants with prior andrology or embryology experience must submit a skills report form; those new to the field must complete an observation experience and submit a corresponding report.

Additional requirements for International applications include a course-by-course evaluation of foreign transcripts (WES or ECE preferred), TOEFL scores (if applicable), and translated transcripts if not originally in English.
