Why ODU for Data Science and Analytics?

Data science is transforming how industries operate and how decisions are made. The online Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics through ODUGlobal prepares you to turn raw information into strategic insight.

This interdisciplinary program draws on faculty and coursework from engineering and technology, business, arts and the sciences. Your core courses will build a foundation in data science, data analytics, statistics and data visualization, while also helping you develop the skills to:

  • Analyze large and complex datasets, including big data
  • Use industry-standard programming languages, tools and software packages
  • Create clear visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders and inform decisions

You will choose a concentration aligned with your interests and complete a capstone project tied to that specialization. The capstone allows you to apply your learning to a real problem or scenario in your area of focus, giving you experience with the type of work you'll do as a data professional.
