Cyber defense moves fast. ODU’s online Artificial Intelligence in Cyber Defense graduate certificate helps you apply AI to detect threats, prevent attacks and strengthen security operations in real time. You’ll build a foundation in AI and cyber defense, with courses in AI methods and models, AI ethics and policy, applied AI in cybersecurity and generative AI in cybersecurity. The program is 12 credit hours.
Experiential learning is built in. You’ll complete a practicum to apply what you learn in a focused area and produce a paper or e-portfolio. Depending on your goals, the practicum may take the form of an internship, a work-based project or a paper on a relevant topic. When you finish, you’ll be ready to integrate AI into cyber defense workflows and support stronger organizational security.
