Why ODU for Elementary Education?

This undergraduate program is designed to lead into our Master of Science in Education with Virginia licensure at the post-baccalaureate level.

You will first complete this Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies: Teacher Preparation from the College of Arts and Letters. ** Pending approval from the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia, this degree will transition to a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in Fall 2019. The B.S. degree will require 120 credits total (a minimum of 30 credit hours must be earned from ODU). The curriculum includes core pedagogy, elementary education courses, field work, and a capstone student teaching experience. For more information, contact us with the short form on this page.
