Gain an integrated working knowledge of maritime operations and supply chain management.

In this minor, you will learn about the activities involved in the flow of materials and information, from production to transportation and delivery. You'll select two courses in an area of interest such as:

  • International shipping
  • Maritime security and risk analysis
  • Quality management
  • Strategic sourcing and purchasing management

ODU's main campus is located in Norfolk, Va., near the Port of Virginia and its thriving maritime industry. This region is also home to supply chain and logistics industries that rely on or support maritime trade. Our faculty are involved with local and global organizations in maritime trade and the supply chain industry.

    • 12 credit hours (four courses)

    You will take two required courses and choose two additional courses to complete the minor.

    A minor can only be earned as part of an undergraduate program. Talk with an ODUGlobal enrollment coordinator to determine if you have credits that will transfer.

  • Access course materials online from any location. Some classes will have live, regular online meeting times, while others will not. The instructor may schedule assignments and exams at specific times. All courses follow ODU's regular academic calendar.

    Active duty military students may qualify for a discounted undergraduate tuition rate.
