Why ODU for Maritime, Ports & Logistics Management Certificate?

ODU's unique maritime, ports, and logistics management online certificate helps working maritime and port professionals develop and sharpen their skills. Your classes will include discussions in:

  • international maritime transport
  • port operations management
  • port planning and economics
  • maritime security and risk analysis

You will also apply your knowledge through an independent study under the direction of ODU expert faculty.

Old Dominion University's Maritime Institute focuses on the professional knowledge and continuing education needs of area public agencies and private business employees who comprise the maritime and logistics community. In research presented at the global 2011 Annual Conference of the International Association of Maritime Economists, ODU's maritime business program was ranked 8th in the world in port research over 1980-2009, a 30-year time period.
