ODU COVID-19 Response for Spring 2021:  More Information >>

Why ODU for an MBA Online?

Old Dominion's MBA online program is an accelerated master's degree program. Course sessions are eight weeks long, and you'll learn everything that you would in a standard semester. This means you could earn your MBA online from ODU faster than in a typical program.

Enhance your business administration degree! Earn an add-on certificate in one of ODU's nationally recognized areas of expertise:

  • Modeling, Simulation and Visualization
  • Maritime, Ports and Logistics Management
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Public Procurement and Contract Management
  • Business Analytics and Big Data

ODU's Master of Business Administration degree program is accredited by the AACSB, the premiere business college accrediting body. We are one of fewer than 200 schools with dual AACSB Business and Accounting accreditation.

Are you a current ODU undergraduate interested in earning an MBA? Qualified students can earn credits toward their master's while completing a bachelor’s degree with our Early Entry program.

MBA Required Courses

  • 40-45 credit hours

If you do not have a business undergraduate degree, you'll start by taking a set of five one-credit pre-core courses.

Courses in the add-on certificate programs can meet the elective requirements in the MBA program, saving you time when you pursue both.

If you already have significant knowledge and skills from the workplace that may apply to this MBA degree, you may be able to earn academic credit for that knowledge with Prior Learning Assessment.

Online Learning Environment

Access course materials online from any location. Many classes don't have a scheduled meeting time, so you can fit class into your personal schedule. The instructor may schedule assignments and exams at specific times.

All courses follow an accelerated eight-week format.
