Why ODU for Leadership (Interdisciplinary Studies)?

Today's workplace needs leaders who are highly skilled in areas such as reasoning, communications and analysis. In this program, you will focus on the characteristics and skills you need to successfully lead in organizational and social contexts. Your leadership major coursework will emphasize ethical leadership, legal issues, written and oral communication skills, and critical thinking/decision-making.

Because this is an interdisciplinary degree, you'll be able to examine the multi-facted nature of leadership with courses from philosophy, computer science, engineering, information technology, and criminal justice. Your studies will culminate in a senior interdisciplinary project that integrates education and training with the application of problem-solving skills.

The degree is offered by the College of Arts and Letters through coordination with the College of Continuing Education and Professional Development.
