This geography minor will help you understand the interrelationship of humans and the environment. You can choose from a general geography minor and a geography minor with a specialization in environment and resources.

ODU is a center of geospatial technologies in the Hampton Roads region, and houses the Center for Geospatial and Visualization Computing.

Coupled with your degree program, this minor will prepare you for a wide variety of careers that use geography to understand and interpret the world.

    • 15 credit hours

    You will complete GEOG 100S Cultural Geography or GEOG 101S Environmental Geography, plus four 300/400 level geography courses. Your geography minor can be general or can focus on environment and resources.

    A minor can only be earned as part of an undergraduate program. Talk with an ODUGlobal enrollment coordinator to determine if you have credits that will transfer.

  • Access course materials online from any location. Many classes don't have a scheduled meeting time, so you can fit class into your personal schedule. The instructor may schedule assignments and exams at specific times. All courses follow ODU's regular academic calendar.

    Active duty military students may qualify for a discounted undergraduate tuition rate.
