You'll learn how to design, develop, and support the electronics and computer networks that connect us locally and globally. Along with technical skills, you'll learn the social and global impacts in the field. Your coursework will provide a strong foundation in:
- communications systems
- wireless systems
- computer networks
- advanced circuits
- system testing, design, and development
- component design
You'll also be able to choose two elective courses to expand your experience. When you graduate, you will earn a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology with a major in Electrical Engineering Technology and a concentration in Communication Systems Technology.
By successfully completing this program, you'll be eligible to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in Virginia and many other states. This exam is the first step to licensure as a professional engineer.
