Admission to the MEM by Portable Media
Engineering Management (MEM) courses are available on portable media to graduates of the Navy Nuclear Power School Officer Program with qualification at a prototype (NPS-O/Prototype), or of Bettis Reactor Engineering School (BRES). If you meet these requirements, you are eligible to receive 12 credit hours of advanced standing towards the MEM degree based on your experience.
If you do not receive the 12 credit hours of advanced standing, you still can earn those credits by taking additional courses from ODU via portable media.
If you are not a graduate of NPS-O/Prototype or BRES, you may be considered to take MEM courses by portable media on a case-by-case basis. You'll need pre-approval by the engineering management & systems engineering department. Pre-approvals will include a degree plan specifying additional coursework needed to complete the MEM degree.
If you fall into this category, contact MEM Advisor Dr. Kim Sibson at email@example.com to determine your eligibility.
