Why ODU for Teacher Education?

Are you a licensed middle and/or secondary teacher? This online Master of Science in Education degree will help you improve and update your teaching skills.

Graduates will know how to conduct powerful educational research. This research is intended to transform the teacher's instructional practice and beliefs about teaching, which impacts their classrooms and their schools.

Courses emphasize the interdisciplinary nature of teaching in diverse settings. You'll also examine the potential for educators to act as agents of change and engage in reflective inquiry throughout the program.

This program is cohort-based and can be completed in just over 18 months. In Virginia, licensed teachers who successfully complete this degree may upgrade their licensure to the Postgraduate Professional level.
