Rivers Casino will fund credit-bearing courses for eligible employees leading to a degree or certificate from ODU. Employees can explore over 70 online and on-campus bachelor and graduate programs specifically selected by Rivers Casino.

Requirements of Your Tuition Reimbursement

  • To be eligible for reimbursement of up to 100% of qualifying expenses (up to a maximum of $5,000 per calendar year), you must be a full-time active team member who has worked for more than one year with satisfactory performance. *Please note that this program is not covered under any collective bargaining agreement.
  • Your program must be directly related to a department within the casino business and lead to a degree or professional certification.
  • Participants must earn: A “C” or better in undergraduate or certification courses . A “B” or better in graduate courses. The reimbursement rate is:  “C” - 50% “B” - 75% “A” - 100%
  • Rivers also covers expenses such as  textbooks and course materials, supplies and necessary equipment,  fees, and similar expenses. *Within the calendar year of Jan 1 to December 31

Complete Rivers Casino's Tuition Reimbursement Program Request and obtain the the following required documentation.

  1. Official proof of qualifying grades.
  2. Bursar’s or tuition bill receipt showing payment
  3. If applicable, a copy of the documentation for funds obtained from other sources.
  4. Submit the completed Request Form and other required documentation to HR.
  5. Submit any other applicable documentation as may be required.

* Request will be denied if proof of course completion and a qualifying grade not received by HR within 8 weeks.

We build all of our online programs in-house. ODU professors work with ODU instructional specialists to give online students the best learning experience possible. Our online and campus-based classes have the same academic rigor and are all taught by ODU instructors.

  2. Apply for admission to ODU. Our enrollment team will stay with you through the application process.
  3. Submit your Rivers Casino Tuition Reimbursement Program Application. * All Applications must be submitted at least 7 days prior to course start dates and approved by Rivers Human Resources.*
  4. Provide a full list of requirements and credit hours needed to attain a degree or certification.
    - Obtain approval from your Team Member’s Supervisor.
    - Obtain approval for team member's department head.
  5. Submit the completed application & all required documentation to Rivers Casino's Human Resources department.
