Old Dominion University was recently recognized as a Silver Medalist School of Distinction by BestColleges.com, a leading provider of independent higher education rankings and college planning guides. Through three tiers of recognition, the Schools of Distinction award seeks to recognize colleges and universities leading the way in online education. Within the United States, 2,152 higher education institutions offer online academic programs for students. Over 900 of these institutions are represented in BestColleges.com’s rankings due to their academic quality, affordability, and overall online learning opportunity.
