ODU’s Distance Learning Roots Begin with the Military

For over 35 years, Old Dominion University has been providing service members with innovative and accessible education to support their military careers and beyond.

Programs with You in Mind

ODUGlobal features programs that may award academic credit for military training and experience. In some cases, military students can take courses in these programs via portable media (CD-ROM, DVD).

Military service members, veterans, and their dependents are welcome to apply for any program that ODU offers.

Specialized Support

We know the military community very well after decades of partnerships. So well, in fact, that ODU has a whole department dedicated to military student needs. ODU's Military Connection Center is the central place to find guidance on tuition, finance processes, and other resources for military service members, veterans, and their dependents.

ODU has programs in place to provide academic, professional, and transitional support to military-affiliated students.

ODU is proud to be a part of several military education affiliations. Many of these partnerships offer financial aid to military personnel and veterans.

We also offer classes in partnership with community colleges and military installations.
