Environmental Issues & Management Interdisciplinary Minor

  • Minor
  • Ellmer College of Health Sciences
  • School of Community and Environmental Health

Continuing environmental degradation is a worldwide problem threatening the quality of life and its viability. The problem can only be understood and addressed by drawing on resources from many different areas.

This minor has a multidisciplinary perspective. At its core, this minor focuses on the human dimensions of the human-environment equation.

You will choose courses from different departments in order to gain a broad understanding of environmental issues. This flexibility means you can choose topics to complement your major or target a specific career field. Course options include:

  • Environmental Health
  • Civil Engineering
  • Geography
  • Philosophy
  • Political Science
  • Sociology
  • and more

You can also choose courses that will provide hands-on experience in environmental and public health policy and ethics, and pollution prevention efforts.
