Computer Engineering Minor Online

You will take one course in the fundamentals of computer engineering, and one course about data structures and algorithms. To complete the minor, you will choose two additional computer engineering courses from a pre-approved list. Possible topics include:

  • Digital system design
  • Microcontrollers
  • Computer graphics and visualization
  • Networks and data communications
  • Embedded systems
  • and more!

Faculty in ODU's Electrical and Computer Engineering department support University centers such as the Applied Research Center, the Frank Reidy Center of Bioelectrics, and the Virginia Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation Center (VMASC).

    Some courses in the minor have prerequisites or corequisites in computer science or programming. If these courses are not already part of your undergraduate program, they may increase your total credit hours.

    A minor can only be earned as part of an undergraduate program. Talk with an ODUGlobal enrollment coordinator to determine if you have credits that will transfer.
