Why ODU for Modeling & Simulation Engineering?

With an interdisciplinary approach to modeling and simulation engineering, ODU's program will prepare you to take a valuable role on teams with the ability to communicate across technical and nontechnical boundaries by building simulations and applying visualizations to data.

Your program of study at ODU is based upon a solid foundation in mathematics and basic sciences. You'll study key concepts from engineering and computer science, the major modeling and simulation paradigms, computer visualization, statistical analysis methods, and simulation software design.

Upon graduation, you'll be prepared to enter the workforce, enter a graduate program, seek Professional Engineer licensure, and obtain certified modeling and simulation credentials.

Our professors are involved in research and work alongside researchers at our Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center in cutting edge areas such as cyber security, big data, virtual reality, medical and health care modeling and simulation, high-performance computing, educational gaming, transportation, and unmanned aircraft systems.

This is the first modeling and simulation undergraduate program to be accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, http://www.abet.org
