Letter of Intent for Out-of-State Transfer Agreements
At ODUGlobal, we pave the way for your success through our transfer pathways. Our aim is to establish a seamless transition that fosters your academic success.
To begin your transfer journey, we encourage you to complete the Letter of Intent (LOI). This form serves to notify us of your intent to apply to Old Dominion University (ODU). While not binding, signing this agreement provides you with the opportunity to proactively plan for your academic journey and success at ODU.
Why should I sign a Letter of Intent?
- Free unofficial transfer evaluation: Our ODUGlobal enrollment team offers a complimentary unofficial transfer evaluation, assessing any previous college work completed, including military transcripts.
- Pre-advising and coaching: Our intake team will assist you in refining your career goals. Once you decide on a career path, we will provide pre-advising support while you work towards completing your associate degree.
- Waived Application Fee: Completing the Letter of Intent will waive the $50 application fee. You will receive a waiver code to enter on your ODU application.
- Catalog Guarantee: The catalog guarantee is a significant benefit because colleges and universities update their catalogs periodically. Updates may include changes to degree requirements, course offerings, and academic policies. By signing the LOI, you will secure access to the specific academic offerings and policies described in the catalog at the time the agreement is signed. Even if the institution makes changes later, you can still follow the original catalog requirements. ODU extends this guarantee up to six years from the date of signing.
