Old Dominion University listed among Best Online Colleges

Old Dominion University is proud to have been ranked both nationally and statewide by TheBestSchools.org (TBS) for 2016.

ODU has been ranked 3rd out of 7 institutions in “The Best Online Colleges in Virginia” published by TheBestSchools.org (TBS). The list includes public, private, and non-profit institutions.

In their state-level rankings, TBS looked at the quality of online programs, types of courses and degrees offered, faculty strengths, as well as school awards, rankings, and reputation, including a strong reputation for online degree programs. However, much weight was also given to the variety of degree programs available at each institution. ODU is proud to offer over 100 degree and certificate programs online.

On a national level, ODU has been ranked for the second time at #49 in "The 50 Best Online Colleges for 2016" published by TBS.

TheBestSchools.org selected Old Dominion University for the national ranking based on several weighted factors, including academic excellence, course offerings, faculty strengths, and reputation, including reputation for online degree programs. As a traditional campus-based school, our inclusion in these rankings is a recognition that we also offer "an extensive and robust array of online degree programs."
