The Darden College of Education at Old Dominion University has been named the 25th best value college for an online master's in education degree by College Values Online.

The ranking took into account awards and recognitions, 20-year net return on investment, customization options, teaching methods, internship and scholarship opportunities, related student organizations and any "wow" factors.

"Our online master's in education degree programs are some of the most popular programs available to students seeking to advance their careers and shape institutions, whether they hold positions such as education teachers, school librarians and higher education administrators," said Jane Bray, dean of the College of Education. "We are proud to boast a long history of educating distance students, and our faculty are nationally recognized for their important work in education."

The Darden College of Education offers a variety of programs with different tracks for different specializations in a variety of formats. A listing of all College of Education programs may be found on their website.

The college prepares students to be education, industry and service professionals through its six departments: Communication Disorders & Special Education, Counseling & Human Services, Educational Foundations & Leadership, Human Movement Sciences, STEM Education & Professional Studies, and Teaching & Learning.
