Old Dominion University has been named a top military-friendly school by Military Advanced Education's “2014 Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges and Universities.”

From community colleges to state universities, online universities, and nationally known centers of higher learning, MAE’s “2014 Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges and Universities” provides prospective students with information about institutions that go out of their way to implement military-friendly policies in support of our men and women in uniform.

Many attributes were considered in evaluating this year’s institutions. These include the flexibility of online learning options, the extent of transfer credits accepted by degree level, an on-campus Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) program, Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) participation, on-campus assistance for active duty service members and veterans, support provided to the families of service members, faculty trained in veteran reintegration issues, a presence on military installations, and full-time counselors trained in veteran-specific mental health concerns.

The complete list  will be published in the December issue of Military Advanced Education.
