What is plusODU?
PlusODU is much more than a pathway. It’s an opportunity to have a set plan in place. That means less worry, more resources, and more support for Mountain Gateway Community College students who are future Monarchs.
Through plusODU, MGCC students can:
- Save money
- Make every credit count
- Work with a success coach
- Access both MGCC & ODU resources
- Study on campus and online
In addition to guaranteed admission and savings on tuition, students may take advantage of both libraries, both sets of advisors and career management centers, and get a preview of their future life as a Monarch.

Logos
MGCC is welcome to use the plusODU logo in their materials when talking about this partnership with ODU. New logos reflecting the community college name change are in development.
Marketing Materials
Our Community Engagement staff have plusODU marketing materials to use at events and local offices. Items include posters, rolling literature holders, tabletop banners, and cards. Some are branded with our specific partner, like MGCC plusODU, and other items describe the plusODU program in general.
We designed these materials to all have a similar look and feel, so students recognize the program, no matter where they encounter it.
